Ana ILEN is writer and translator of Austrian nationality and Bulgarian origin, living in France.

She was born in Bulgaria, lived in Croatia and Austria, and has been living in France since 1999.

She has studied Economics, Art History, English and Translation in Bulgaria, Croatia, Austria, USA and France and holds a Master Degree in Arts, Literature and Languages from the University of Nice, France.

Ana ILEN is fluent in seven languages: German, English, French, Russian, Italian, Serbian/Croatian and Bulgarian

Ana ILEN is author of three books and a co-author of one film screenplay:

• The novel "Everything Will Be Alright", published in 1991 in Yugoslavia and Bulgaria where it was a best seller
• The lyrical prose poem "Passing By", published in 1997 in Bulgarian, 1998 in English and 2000 in German
• The novel "The Pendulum", published in 2010 in Bulgaria.
• The screenplay "The Pendulum" after her novel "The Pendulum", written in 2013.
